Installation View, “Unoriginal Genius” The Laundromat, 2025
Trust Your Sources, Trust Your Decisions, #1,#2, 2024, silkscreen on canvas, 32”x43” (2024) is a photographic capture turned silkscreen of a deteriorating VPN advertisement where the degradation itself becomes the message. The once-confident corporate slogan "Trust your sources. Trust your decisions" now erodes before our eyes, creating an unintended commentary on information reliability in contemporary society. I'm drawn to this duality—how the disintegration simultaneously undermines the original message while creating a new, more honest metaphor about the difficulty of finding trustworthy information. Yet within this decay, a more personal reading emerges: a fragmented but persistent reminder to trust one's own judgment amid uncertainty. These accidental artifacts speak more truthfully than their original intent, becoming signs that reveal deeper meanings about our collective experience.
