The Lists examines how language shapes belief, judgment, and social perception. Drawing from the language of advertising, observation, and everyday exchange, the works collect and rearrange familiar words and claims to expose the assumptions embedded within them.

Moving between the cultural, the local, and the interpersonal, the series considers how language gains authority through repetition and circulation. Handwritten interventions—cross-outs, circles, smears, and annotations—interrupt that authority, allowing meaning to shift, contradict itself, and be reconsidered.

What appears factual or familiar becomes unstable, revealing how language influences what we value, accept, and believe to be true.
